POLICE have received a good response following the release on Wednesday of two e-fit images of alleged violent offenders. One was of a man alleged to have threatened a St Sampson's School pupil with a knife on the afternoon of 21 March.

He is about 18-years-old, 6ft tall and with his left eyebrow pierced with a silver hoop containing a blue-coloured ball. He was wearing a black hooded top and baggy jeans.

The other was of a man suspected of indecently assaulting a woman in Town on Easter Monday evening.

He is described as 5ft 7in. tall, of Asian appearance and wearing a brown waist-length leather jacket.

Detective Sergeant Terry Coule said the response from the public had been good but as yet no arrests had been made.

'Lines of enquiry are still being followed up but we would welcome any further information that could come in,' he said.

Police are also keen to speak to the driver of a red pickup truck who is alleged to have attempted to abduct a nine-year-old girl in Guelles Road, St Peter Port, at about 8.35pm on Tuesday 8 March.

'One vehicle has been eliminated from the inquiry but we still wish to speak to the driver of the vehicle,' said DS Coule.

No further reports of incidents of a similar nature had been made, he added.

*'Anyone with information about the above incidents, however insignificant they think it might be, is asked to call police on 725111 or the Crimestoppers confidential line on 0800 555 111.
