LAST year's island finalists have been seeded to meet in the quarter-finals of next week's Deutsche Bank Guernsey Championships. Defending champion Dave Rowlinson won his third title 12 months ago on the 36th and final green of an intriguing final against Andy Eggo.

This time around, with Eggo seeded three and Rowlinson six, they would meet on Thursday of next week should the seedings go to plan.

Bobby Eggo once again takes his place as number one seed while the in-form Danny Bisson is at the other end of the draw in the number two position.

Top Channel Islands junior Jack Mitchell is the youngest of the eight seeds and he faces Danny Blondel in the second round.

As previously reported, one notable absentee from the championships is Mick Marley whose wife, Claire, is expecting their first child around the time of the Channel Islands final date.
