ONE of the biggest names in women's cricket has been giving tips to the island's best. Jane Powell coached more than 300 girls while here.

Powell captained England at cricket and hockey and also represented her country at badminton.

She is one of the few level four cricket coaches in the world and coached the Indian women's team that finished second behind Australia in the World Cup in South Africa.

She is also the subject of this Trivial Pursuit question: Who were the last twins to play cricket for England?

The answer is Jane and her sister, Jill, who is also a multi-talented sportswoman having represented England at cricket, netball and athletics.

This was Powell's first time in the island.

'I'm amazed by the number of facilities and by the number of volunteers that help out with running cricket here.'
