TIM DUKE continues to eat up evening league bowling attacks as if it's his last supper. In 2004, the Rovers opener scored a massive amount of runs and already this year he has helped himself to two centuries in Division One of the Barclays Evening League, a 99 and now an 85.

There was less than two overs remaining against NRG Pessimists at KGV last evening when Duke finally perished with another 'ton' an outside bet.

Having dominated the bowling it was a peculiar end to his innings. Keith Le Cheminant's head-high bouncer smacked him full on the helmet to remind the island player he was still about and not to be toyed with and, next ball, Duke failed to spot the slower ball and was bowled having an ugly slog.

Thanks to Duke Rovers' 160 for two was way out of Pessimists' reach and despite a Dave Piesing fifty was never a contest.
