ELIZABETH College completed a clean sweep over Victoria College for only the third time in the history of the inter-collegiate hockey fixtures. The EC first XI executed a 4-1 victory in jersey thanks to goals from Jon Wilkes-Green, Fergus Calderwood, Ollie Richards and Sam Lycett while at home, the second XI managed an equally impressive 6-1 win.

The result came courtesy of two goals each from Carl Pugh, Jonny Warr and Adam Robin.

Back in Jersey, the under-15s delivered a 7-0 drubbing to their Caesarean opponents thanks to four goals from Ollie Lepp, two from Daniel Wray and one from Hywel Robinson.

The under-13s completed the clean sweep when Will Dovey and Tom Still scored with no reply from their Victorian opponents at the College Field.

College master in charge of hockey David Wray was delighted with the performance of all his teams.

'Lots of hours have been put in coaching and working with the boys and they have worked hard all season to produce this fantastic result,' he said.
