Crunch time for the greens

GUERNSEY'S relegation dogfight begins this afternoon according to captain Andy Bailey. The Sarnians, who sit second bottom in London Three South-West, are at home to Old Wimbledo-nians looking for two crucial points that will bring the sides level.
'One team is definitely getting relegated but it could be two. The RFU have a habit of changing things during a season, but that doesn't matter because we have to treat it as a relegation dogfight now.
'In a way our destiny is still in our own hands. If we beat Wimbledonians and then Fareham in two weeks' time - they are the two teams around us - we will definitely stay up.'
From the side hammered 59-5 by Old Reigatian last weekend, Guernsey welcome back Simon Sharrott, Darren Jones and Paul Livesey, but missing will be Ben Le Huray, Harold Morgan and Jim Elliott.
'Last time out was a proper hammering. There's no hiding away from that. The fortunate thing is that we have got a game straight away and we can't dwell on it for too long. We've spoken to the coaches and know what we need to put right.'
Today's game will be a revenge mission of sorts for Guernsey after they suffered a 35-6 away defeat to Old Wimbledonians back in September.
'They were the same as most of the teams we play. They play through the forwards, so we will be relying on our boys up front to get us good ball.
'If we get our defence right and the basics right there is no reason why we can't get a result.'
Kick-off is at 1.30pm.
