ROB SMART added yet another win to an impressive season on road and mountain bikes with victory over twenty laps of the Delancey circuit, but this time it was by taking advantage by a touch of bikes between Stuart Le Tissier and Aaron Bailey. With nine riders contesting the senior and veteran race, it was always going to be one of those three to win. For fifteen laps they played cat and mouse, gradually eliminating the other riders, but with five to go, Le Tissier launched an attack and it looked as if Smart would help his brother-in-law by not aiding Bailey. However, Le Tissier had pushed to soon and was reeled in with one lap to go and on this lap the touch occurred, leaving Smart to take advantage of the others' misfortune.

In his first race with the club, Pete Tomkins came in fourth followed by leading veteran Dave Pinchemain.

The race for juniors, under-16s and under-14s was keenly contested over 10 laps and it was juniors Matt Osborn and Ben Burtenshaw who took first and second place in front of under-16 rider Nathan Baudains. Michael Mann and William Falla were the leaders in the under-12 race over three laps.

The Guernsey Velo Club is currently running a Go Ride course at Delancey on Saturday mornings and eight of the nine riders in the under-nine race benefit from this scheme.

Katie Rowe continues to show good bike handling skills and took the victory from Bradley Smith and Josh Hunter.
