Rovers skipper Bisson to captain Guernsey B side

STUART BISSON will captain Guernsey in Sunday's B inter-insular. The Rovers skipper will be in charge of a team that includes several players still pushing for a place in the full island side for the HSBC Cricket Challenge at Grainville on Saturday 2 September.

They include five of the Guernsey squad who competed in Scotland in the ECC Division Two Championship as well as Optimists star batsman GH Smit, who is doubling up as wicketkeeper.

Meanwhile, island manager Dave Hearse has also named his side for the over-40s inter-insular which will take place at Grainville on the same day.

Peter Vidamour will captain a strong line-up in what is set to be an intriguing game against what is bound to be an impressive Jersey side that could include Steve Carlyon for the first time.
