A SECOND Aussie makes his full debut for the Guernsey first team in their London Three South-West match away at Camberley today. Rob Brazier, who has played for ACT University in Aust-ralia, is given his first start at scrum half alongside his compat-riot Jordan Reynolds.
'He will bring a lot of experience to that position,' said captain Andy Bailey.
Brazier came off the bench in the opening 13-5 defeat away at Old Mid-Whitgiftian last week and for the Camberley game he stays at nine with Carl Gardner moving into the back row. Dave Harvey drops to the bench.
'The main idea behind it is we felt we needed a bit more edge in the back row and like any nine, Carl is a very tenacious player who is always involved.
'With moving Dave to the bench it just gives our bench a bit more bite.
'We flagged a bit in the second half last week, so with him, Leighton and James we have three forwards to really give us impact off the bench.
'We know Camberley from last year and they have a big pack.
'So it is important we move them around the paddock and tire them out. We don't want to get dragged into a forwards battle with constant rolling mauls, which is what they will look for.
'If we increase our execution rate from last week, we will win.
'We had the chances to win last week and didn't take them. It's imperative that we in facets of our play we have a high execution rate.'
The squad have this week benefited from adviceand some lineout tips from former captain and lineout specialist Jock Quesnel.
