His 11-year-old sister, Lotte, then took Gail Strobridge's record as she touched in a personal best of 2-51.77.
Not to be outdone, Victoria, 13, knocked over three seconds off her own standard, which she had set in the same event last year when she was at the bottom of the 12-13 age group.
Tom Hollingsworth clocked the fastest time of the day of 2-12.10 in the 16+ category and Robyn Le Friec was the quickest female in a personal best time of 2-39.80.
First places went to Chloe Tostevin and Katherine Jensen in the nine and 10 years respectively while Gemma Nicolle won the 14-15 age group as she slashed her personal best by over two seconds with a swim of 2-40.01.
Toby Belton led the way in the 10 years' group as he clocked 3-11.01 and there was a personal best of 2-58.42 for Oliver Nightingale as he came first in the 11-year category.
Joshua Lewis (2-31.32) and Matthew Allen (2-24.54) took the 12-13 and 14-15 titles respectively.
The greatest improvement on entered time was made by Gareth Davies who swum a personal best by nearly 34 seconds to place third in the 11-years group in 3-12.88.
