GLOUCESTERSHIRE'S Matt Windows starred as Savills Private Finance won the annual Lord's Taverners Barclays Six-a-side Pro-Am Tournament yesterday at Port Soif. The county's 2006 beneficiary retired having smashed a quickfire 26 in a dramatic one-run victory in the final against Carey Olsen.

Set 62 to win from their five overs, Carey Olsen's chase finished agonisingly short as Sher Khanagha was unable to hit Darren Le Tissier's final delivery for the required three runs.

'Yet again the day has been another tremendous success,' said organiser Paul Lawrence, from the Lord's Taverners.

'Everything ran as well as we could have hoped.

'We could have had a hitch if the rain had set in, but we managed to play through what drizzle we had and everybody retained the right spirit throughout.

'Fortunately, the sun came out for the final and that last-ball thriller was an excellent way in which to finish off the competition.'
