ALICE LOVERIDGE has beaten the island men's champion again. The 12-year-old double national age-group champion beat Phil Ogier on the opening night of the domestic league season and when their respective sides clashed again in round six of the Doric Insurance League programme, the starlet did it again.
Playing for championship-chasing Whist-lers A, Loveridge again took Ogier out in straight games, 11-6, 11-8, 11-9.
She also defeated Martin Sarre to help her side to a vital 6-4 victory that keeps the team on the heels of league leaders Lions A.
Loveridge did lose to former island champion Peter Bretel in four, but remains fourth in the averages with a 72.22% success rate.
The leaders' Scott Romeril still tops the averages with just one defeat in 18 matches, while Ogier has now lost two. Garry Dodd lies third.
