JAN CHAMBERLAIN walked away from the annual Royal Guernsey Ladies' Section presentation with her arms full. The island's lowest handicap and former island champion scooped three top awards at the Royal.

She won the Dolphin Trophy for the best aggregate of four gross scores in LGU medals by eight shots from Sue Wellfair and also received the Royal Ladies' Brooch for the best gross round of the year, a 75.

Finally, she won the low-handicap section of the Birdie Tree competition.

Other award winners were:

Dowell Trophy (aggregate of four best gross scores by bronze-division players): 1, Pat Jeffreys 361; 2, Sonia Graham 375; 3, Linda Winn 376.

LGU silver medal (aggregate of four best net scores by silver-division players): 1, Doreen Munroe 17 under; 2, Marion Richards 14 under; 3 equal, Sue Wellfair and Jan Chamberlain 10 under.

LGU bronze medal (aggregate of four best net scores by bronze-division players): 1, Linda Winn 21 under; 2, Pat Jeffreys 17 under; 3, Betty Donaldson 6 under.

Hills Johns Cup (greatest handicap reduction range 36 to 20): Linda Winn 36 to 21.

Par Tree (sponsored by Mrs B. Donaldson): 21 to 28 handicaps - Linda Winn; 29 to 36 - Jill Herschel.

Birdie Tree (sponsored by Mrs J. Wright): 0 to 13 handicaps - Jan Chamberlain; 14 to 20 - Carol Wood.

Randall's Brewery Cup: winner - Lucie Sims; runner-up - Sue Wellfair.
