A RARE dead heat saw Paul Brehaut and Aaron Bailey share the honours in the Guernsey Velo Club's five-mile time trial. The pair both recorded a time of 10 minutes and 44 seconds in what proved to be near perfect conditions.

Graham Le Maitre was best of the rest, 27sec. in arrears, followed by Nick Mann who produced a great ride for fourth spot ahead of Mike Dean. Gary Wallbridge also produced a superb effort to secure sixth place.

Mark Batiste, Alan Rowe and Dan Arblaster were the only other riders to dip under the 12min. barrier with Tim Martin rounding off the top ten.

Ann Bowditch was the fastest woman on the night.
