CARL LE TISSIER went on the rampage at Port Soif last night. The St Pierre opener smashed an unbeaten 92 in typically belligerent style as he set up a comprehensive 69-run victory over Chandlers to maintain his side's unbeaten start to the campaign.

Le Tissier's brutal innings included 11 fours and a six as Saints rattled up an impressive 20-over total of 181 for six.

A trio of his teammates played more than useful supporting roles with the bat.

Jarrod Avery launched a couple over the rope as he helped Le Tissier get his side off to a flying start after Chandlers had won the toss and inserted the opposition.

Once the first wicket fell, Vince Kenny maintained the momentum on his return to the first team, hitting three fours and a six in his 33 as he and Le Tissier put on 97 for the second wicket.

Later on Le Tissier's brother-in-law and captain Paul Wakeford chipped in with a quickfire 23 as none of the bowlers was spared.

Martin Baxter then took over the show for St Pierre when it came their turn in the field.

The Australian found late movement in the air to rip through the Chandlers order with five for 24.

The batting side were not helped when, at 22 for three, opener David Critchlow had to retire hurt because he took a blow to the back of his head from a Andy Burkhardt bouncer.

The ball actually missed his helmet and left a sizeable lump, although he was later able to resume his innings.

Captain Dave Clark finished as his side's top scorer with 31 - one of only two Chandlers batsmen to reach double figures.
