PAULINE LE PAGE set a benchmark no one could match on Tuesday. The 19-handicapper was first out at 8 o'clock in the Credit Suisse Ladies' Open at L'Ancresse and posted a score of 39 Stableford points, which was not to be beaten all day.
Julie Creed won the scratch prize with a score of 36.
The event attracted one of the largest fields in years as 125 players braved the blustery conditions.
Some of the Jersey contingent were delayed due to the ferry being over an hour late and other players who flew to the island were without clubs as these were also on the boat.
It meant that there were rapid changes to some of the tee times and clubs were generously donated to those without.
This was the last occasion that Credit Suisse sponsored the popular tournament, having been supporting it since 1999.
