GUERNSEY spin twins Luke Nussbaumer and Tom Kirk have set up what is effectively the final of the European U19 Division Two Championship with Jersey today at Grainville. The Elizabeth College duo took control of yesterday's match against the Isle of Man, claiming eight wickets between them as the Manx side slipped from 109 for two to 142 all out.

Off-spinner Kirk finished with five for 20 while captain Nussbaumer claimed three for 27 with his leg spin as the Sarnians wrapped up a 74-run victory.

Earlier, Jonny Clark and Will Thompson had given their side a great start with an opening stand of 72.

The rest of the batsmen also chipped in with useful contributions as Peter Le Hegarat finished as top scorer with 45 from 39 balls including five fours and a six.

The all-rounder then took a wicket with his first ball, but the Isle of Man put up good resistance through captain Richard Kniveton, until seamer Chris Dravers trapped him leg before for 47.

Then the spinners got to work.
