GUERNSEY already have one eye on Saturday 24 November. That is when the green-and-whites travel to London Three South-West leaders Cobham and face arguably the biggest test of their campaign.
Captain Andy Bailey, talking after Saturday's impressive away win at London Cornish, admitted that the team are desperate to keep their current run of good form going for another month.
'We have had a run of mid-table teams and have done well,' he said.
'We have got one of the big boys coming up soon in Cobham and we want to create as much momentum as possible going into that fixture.
'That match will give us a good indication as to where we stand in the league.'
Saturday's victory was Guernsey's fourth in succession, all of which have been by a convincing margin.
Ben Le Huray set the ball rolling with a try in the opening couple of minutes and further scores were to follow from Jordan Reynalds, Jim Elliott, Dylan Chatterton, Cameron Patten and Nick Barton.
Barton added four conversions and a penalty to his individual tally, with Chatterton also slotting over an extra two points.
'Nick played open-side flanker and had a very strong game,' Bailey said. 'Barry Goude on the wing also played really well.
'When you score 40 points away from home, you are always going to be happy.
'They had periods with the ball, but we defended well. It was a very composed performance, but there is still a lot more to come from us.'
Bailey reported that New Zealand newcomer Hayden Green had also produced a solid game on debut, having come in for Darren Jones in the back row.
'He will take a bit of time to settle in, but he looks like he has a lot of talent,' said the skipper.
Guernsey's next fixture is at home to Tottonians on Saturday and Bailey expects the opposition to be on a high after a fine 18-15 victory over London Irish Amateur at the weekend.
