JORDAN REYNALDS is out of tomorrow's trip to Effingham & Leatherhead. Guernsey's influential Aussie fly half was in obvious discomfort as he struggled through Saturday's 22-16 win over Tottonians at Foote's Lane and will now take a break to give his problem time to heal.

'Jordy has been carrying a calf injury for the last couple of games so he is being rested this weekend,' said captain Andy Bailey.

The final decision over who will play at 10 was delayed until training last night.

The likely option is for Dylan Chatterton to move there from centre. An alternative would be to promote Bailey's brother Alec from the seconds.

Jim Elliott has also been ruled out of tomorrow's encounter after suffering a hip subluxation (partial dislocation) last week and Rob Brazier is another absentee.

In the pack, Kiwi flanker Nick Barton is a doubt.

'Nick went off with an ankle injury late in the game against Tottonians. He will have a fitness test before the team is finalised,' Bailey said.

Effingham & Leatherhead lie eighth in London Three South-West with two wins and a draw from their seven games.

They have lost their two most recent fixtures, which were against the top two sides, but gave London Irish Amateur a good match last weekend.

'From what I remember, they had a very young squad last season so presumably they will be along those lines again,' said Bailey.

'We cannot take these guys lightly. It is a home game for them and they are going to be targeting those for points this season.

'We are not bothered about winning 40-0 - we just want a good performance and hopefully that will bring with it a decent result.'

n FROM the Siam Cup to the Six Nations Championship in two years?

That is a scenario that could be on Matt Banahan's agenda.

The Jerseyman, who made his Siam debut as a 17-year-old in 2004 and was sent off in his most recent match against Guernsey at Foote's Lane two years later, has been making a name for himself at Bath Rugby.

In four Guinness Premiership appearances this season, Banahan has scored two tries from his new position on the wing.

The Caesarean has made such an impression that on Sky Sports' weekly Rugby Club programme last week, Dewi Morris selected him in his theoretical England XV to start the first Six Nations fixture in February.

Unsurprisingly, when playing in the Siam the 2.01m (6ft 7in.) Banahan played in Jersey's pack and scored one of the great individual tries of the annual match on his debut.

His move to the wing has seen his speed and strength used as a powerful combination.

Guernsey captain Andy Bailey described Banahan as 'a good lad'.

'He is doing very well at Bath.

'He has made his senior debut only this season so England might not happen just yet, but I reckon he is definitely capable.'
