Captaincy switch will now come in with the new year

JOAN BICHARD will have an extra month as lady captain at the Royal Guernsey Golf Club following a change of procedure. It had been normal practice for the incoming captain to take up office at the November annual meeting, but to tie-in with the men's changeover it will now happen on 1 January.
