STUART FALLA is not standing for re-election. The man who was seen by many as the next chief minister is fed up with political infighting.
He joins the exodus of experience and talent from the House. It leaves many wondering where the political leadership will come from for the next four years.
'I had hoped that the proximity of the next election would have rekindled my interest in local politics,' said Deputy Falla in a letter published in full in today's Guernsey Press. 'But having taken the decision right to the wire, I realise that my interest in standing again had effectively evaporated.'
