JEZ POWELL and Adam Langlois upset the seedings in the semi-finals of the island championships men's doubles.

In a thrilling six-set encounter, the third seeds came from two sets to one down to put out former champions and number-two seeds Phil Ogier and Peter Bretel.

The last three sets all went the distance before the Powell- Langlois combination edged home 12-10.

In the other half of the draw, the top seeds and defending champions took five sets to break the resistance of up-and-coming kids, Matt Stubbington and Ollie Langlois.
