GRAHAM GUILBERT felt his Guernsey boxing team were the victims of some suspect judging as they lost 10-0 to a Manchester Select side. The meeting took place in a Masonic Lodge in Salford and involved local judges.

Guilbert said that he and Walshaw agreed that the match should have been judged 6-4 to the home side. Local fighters Jack Gilvear, Gage Demore, Adam Baker, Tom Maunder, Chris Sumner, James Woolnough, Perry Bentley and Bradley Watson all lost on points.
