GUERNSEY are heading to the ICC European Under-17 Division One Championship in Belfast to win it. That's the message from their coach, Jeremy Frith.

His side are on a high after they absolutely destroyed their Jersey counterparts by 169 runs on Sunday.

And island performance coach Frith has named his squad that will travel to Belfast next month for their first taste of European Division One since Guernsey's younger age groups gained promotion last year.

'We're going there to win it, not come second or third,' said Frith. 'We're playing all right and it's probably the strongest Guernsey age group for many years. It will be interesting to see how they match up. As long as they perform to their potential and apply themselves – what will be, will be. I hope we've got a good chance.'

In the competition, the Sarnians will face Jersey again, along with Scotland, Netherlands, Denmark and hosts Ireland.
