Although the Sarnians have not won the trophy in more than a decade, there is a positive vibe around the club at the moment thanks to some excellent individual results and a second straight season as the top Guernsey outfit in the Hampshire Sevens.
President Colin 'Bill' Le Huray felt that there has been a buzz within his squad in the build-up to the clash.
'I have got the impression that they are really up for it and want it to happen as soon as possible,' he said.
'They have shown this season that they can play very good golf.
'They have got to do it over 54 holes this weekend and I do not see why they can't if they are positive about it.
'For some of these kids it might be the one and only time they play for their island against Jersey and they all need to give it 100%.'
