BEAU SEJOUR Barracudas Swimming Club placed first in round one of the junior cup competition of the Hants and South Coast League.

Competing on a postal basis the Barracudas amassed 238 points to finish ahead of second placed Bracknell. This puts Barracudas in fourth for the Division One match in round two.

The Barracuda girls under 11 years swept the board, winning all their events. Chloe Tostevin placed first in the 25m butterfly and 50m breaststroke, while Chloe Macdonald took the honours in the 50m freestyle and backstroke. These girls were then joined by Courtney Butcher and Annalise Munro, who won the girl's freestyle relay in a great time of 1-03.36, more than six seconds ahead of the team from Christchurch.

With Macdonald on backstroke, Georgia Denziloe on breaststroke, Tostevin on butterfly and Courtney Butcher taking the freestyle length, the girls also won the medley relay in 1-17.82, again taking the touch from Christchurch.
