FOUR local sides are in inter-insular battles at the weekend with the hope of creating all-Guernsey finals in both the CI Champions League and the Collins Cup.

On form, in the latter competition Rangers look a good bet to defeat Sporting Academics, who have failed to pick up a league point this season after last year's promotion from Jersey's second tier.

With Ross Allen in red-hot form, Shaun Lihou and Paul Ockleford's side now have a realistic shot at their first silverware as they enter a new era since Mac Gallienne stepped aside.

Elsewhere, Vale Rec visit the other island to face Grouville; St Martin's face Sylvans' conquerors Rozel Rovers in the CI Champions League semi, while Bels entertain Trinity in the other semi-final.
