Woman 'amazed' that pick-me-up was Ecstasy
A COMPLIANCE officer who claimed that a neighbour had given her Ecstasy when she thought they were legal energy tablets told a 'pack of lies', the Magistrate's Court heard.
A COMPLIANCE officer who claimed that a neighbour had given her Ecstasy when she thought they were legal energy tablets told a 'pack of lies', the Magistrate's Court heard.
Claire Domaille, 25, denied two counts of possessing the class A drug both at Folies D'Amour nightclub and at her home.
She claimed she thought the 11 tablets found at the two locations were a 'legal high' that she took when she needed extra energy for an important meeting at work after a bad night's sleep.
Domaille, of Jia-Ren, Route du Couture, Vale, refused to name the supplier, claiming in court that she wanted to protect his young family. But assistant-Magistrate Philip Robey said she had known all along what the substance was and that to put the other man's family ahead of her own was 'incredible'.
The mother-of-one was caught with the drugs after she lost her handbag in Folies at about 1am on 10 February.
