THE charitable riders from RAF Kinloss, who are Guernsey's own squadron, completed their monster ride from their base in Scotland to Guernsey by taking part in the Guernsey Velo Club's 10-mile time trial.
The event took the riders' weekly total up to 700 miles and also added a competitive edge to their ride down from Scotland to see which rider was the fastest.
Grand veteran Terry Wright took the overall win in a time of 22-48, which also gave him victory in the standards competition.
Tony Bleasdale took second in 22-57 with Tim Holmes third. Neil Ridley was fourth followed by Stuart Le Tissier, grand veteran Gary Walbridge, veteran Paul Jackson, Ann Bowditch, Richard Stapley with Jamie Burtenshaw completing the top 10.
Graham Le Maitre and Chris Le Page continued their preparation for the Duo Normandy in fine form by breaking the club's tandem record, which was set some time ago in a time of 21-26.
