ROBYN LE FRIEC has obliterated the 200m butterfly record in the Beau Sejour Barracudas' NRG Series. In one of her last local events before the Commonwealth Youth Games, the university student clocked 2-23.93, which was more than five seconds quicker than the previous best set by Gail Strobridge in 2003.

Fastest time of the day for the men came from Ian Hubert, who registered 2-18.61. There were some superb personal best times in the younger age groups with Oliver Nightingale taking the 12/13 years' title in a PB by over 15 seconds to clock 2-40.82, Luke Winberg placed second with Miles Munro in third improving on his entered time by over 14 seconds.

The same age group saw Lotte Parfit win the girls' title in 2-41.42, Cody Butcher placing second having improved on her entered time by over 20 seconds in 2-51.26.
