Sorcerers' long wait ends in the most dramatic way

SOURCE SORCERERS have finally got their hands on a trophy.
Having lost three finals over the last two years, they faced Brotown in the mixed A final of the Ernst & Young Autumn League - a re-run of last year's final and this year's Summer League. Brotown were victorious on both those occasions.
And in what has become something of a tradition, the latest game between the two sides finished 2-2, which led to the only drop-off of the finals day.
Sorcerers kicked off first and quickly crossed the try line to make it 3-2. In their replying six, Brotown were unable to score and the game ended in Sorcerers' first final win.
'It's been a long time coming, but to win in a drop-off is definitely the best way to do it,' said Sorcerers captain Ollie Ward.
'We have had some fantastic games against Brotown but our whole team has worked really hard this season and they deserve this.'
