Fourth for Barracudas
BEAU SEJOUR Barracudas Swimming Club placed fourth overall in the Division One final of the Hants and South Coast Junior Cup competition, involving 22 clubs in the region.

Ferndown took the trophy with 319 points, ahead of Haslemere and Bracknell. The Barracudas, competing on a postal basis, finished fourth with 236 points.
Starring for the Barracudas and gaining maximum points by placing first in two events was Miles Munro, who swam out of his skin in the under-13 50m freestyle to take the touch well under the 30-second barrier in 29.11. He also cruised ahead to place first in the 50m butterfly in a brilliant time of 34.98, to finish well clear of his nearest rival from Southampton SC.
Lotte Parfit appeared to be well ahead of the nearest opposition, again from Southampton, as she recorded 1-12.09 in the under-14 100m individual medley. She also took another first place in the 100m backstroke.
Teammate Cody Butcher won the 100m freestyle title in a magnificent 1-03.82. Also in this age group Oliver Nightingale secured another Barracuda win in the 100m backstroke in a time of 1-12.77, just taking the touch from Bracknell.
Finally, in the youngest age group, under-11 Chloe Tostevin placed first in the 25m butterfly in 17.67.
