SONNING are next up for the Guernsey men's hockey side as they pursue a spot in the latter stages of the nationwide HA Trophy.

The Sarnians earned themselves a fourth round tie after defeating Cirencester 6-2 on Sunday.

Sonning lie third in the First XI Middlesex, Bucks, Berks & Oxon Regional League and the match is due to be played on their home pitch at Reading University on Sunday 15 February.

'I know nothing about them, but I like the sound of that draw as there are a few teams in there that I wanted to avoid,' said player-coach Ben Allberry (pictured) who was ecstatic about the win over Cirencester.

'It was awesome. We played really well as a team. I'm delighted with the way the team played.'

The Greens took the lead through Allberry within the first couple of minutes at the Gloucestershire club.
