GUERNSEY rued a lack of firepower as they crashed out of the second round of the HA Trophy at the hands of Richmond on Sunday.

It was the first time that the Investec-sponsored island women's hockey side had entered the national knockout competition.

After receiving a bye in the first round, they found themselves drawn to play away at Richmond, who feature in South League Division 3B.

The young Guernsey side, which had seven players aged 18 and under, went down 3-0.
