ANYBODY know a rich benefactor?

Replies will be received in confidence by the people behind Guernsey Athletics and the Guernsey Football Association.

For while Jersey look set to benefit from the success of their recent international competition with proposed trips to Madeira and Gibraltar and are hanging on to the dream of Fifa recognition, Guernsey have yet to confirm who their opponents will be in their planned Easter tournament.

Last month witnessed the inaugural Jersey Football Association small nations tournament at Springfield which saw the Caesareans take on Madeira and Gibraltar.

The GFA, on the other hand, are looking to organise an Easter tournament in which they have yet to firm up who exactly Guernsey will play.

'Nothing is confirmed yet as we're still working on arrangements,' said GFA chairman Mark Le Tissier.

'We're waiting on confirmation from teams and we don't want to say anything yet. But we'll be having a tournament, that's for sure.'
