A campaign has been launched for Primark to set up shop in Guernsey after Woolworths closes next week.
A Facebook group entitled Primark in Guernsey has been set up and hundreds of members have been adding their voices to the campaign.
Currently, 785 members are part of the group, which was set up by Carla Shaw.
The description on the web page reads: 'I've seen a Jersey group like this and we need one too... let's see if we can get more people in our group and hopefully someone will take note and we can get a Primark over here.'
However, members may be in for a long wait, after Primark confirmed it will not be coming to the Channel Islands.
'There are no plans for the foreseeable future and that is looking some distance into the future,' said a Primark representative. However, we're not ruling anything out. We regularly get enquiries about when we will set up shops at various locations.'
