VALE REC fancy their chances of causing an upset in their favourite competition tonight.

Division One leaders North will undoubtedly start the Stranger Cup final as favourites, but coach Mick Le Prevost emphasised that his side can take nothing for granted against their Grand Fort Road neighbours.

'We are doing well at the moment, but this is another game and it's a cup final,' he said.

'OK, we beat them 3-0 the last time we played, but they are the only team to have beaten us in the league this season and it all depends on who performs on the night.

'If we play to our potential, I am confident we can come away with the right result, but if we start to get sloppy, we will be made to pay for it.

'It is a derby, it is a good chance for Rec to win something this season and they will be really up for it.'
