With less than six months to go to the Ashes, English cricket has been rocked with captain Kevin Pietersen resigning and Peter Moores being sacked as coach.
What has been universally described as an unholy mess stems from an old fashion argument as to whom is actually in charge of the team.
From this side of the English Channel the whole situation is seen as incredulous by both the manager of the Guernsey cricket side, Dave Hearse, and captain Stuart Le Prevost.
'I feel it's incredible it's become such a public affair,' said Hearse.
'A lot of cricketers and professional commentators have said that this should have been done behind closed doors. A captain and coach can't agree all the time.
