ALICE LOVERIDGE'S recent good form and European tournament success has been rewarded with a sensational rise up the world and European cadet rankings.

The Sarnian starlet's ITTF official world ranking has risen from 91 and she is now ranked 39.

In the ETTU European rankings she has risen from 69th to a current position of 26th.

In the most recent lists there are a number of players in the top 20 who Loveridge has played and already beaten.

Given the logistics and schedule, it is not possible for the Guernsey girl to play in all the ranking events.

Loveridge (pictured) has competed in only five of the 18 counting events whereas typically the top 10 have competed in between eight and 12. Therefore she will be targeting a significant rankings improvement in 2009.
