PHIL OGIER'S Sportingbet Guernsey men's side stand on the brink of winning the British League Division Two (South) title.
Two more wins in the third and penultimate round of the league leaves them two points clear of their nearest rivals, Mossford, going into the final weekend of the league near the end of February.
'It's going to be tough,' said skipper Ogier as he reflected on wins over Horsham and Bedford Modern at the superb new Batts facilities in Harlow, Essex.
'We've got to play the teams in second, third and fourth, and the bottom team, who will be fighting relegation.'
'But the wins have put us in a strong position going into the last round.'
Ogier was particularly impressed by the debut showing of young Matt Stubbington (pictured), who stepped in for the work-tied Garry Dodd.
