Dallaglio is busier than he's ever been
LAWRENCE DALLAGLIO MBE has hardly a moment to himself now that he is a retired professional rugby player.
LAWRENCE DALLAGLIO MBE has hardly a moment to himself now that he is a retired professional rugby player.
The London Wasps, England and British Lions legend is in Guernsey as the special guest at tonight's Sportingbet Channel Islands Sports Awards, but this is a relatively minor commitment in his hectic schedule.
'As a rugby player you have a lot of time for rest and relaxation, which you need due to the nature of the game. Now I am retired, I have got plenty on and I am finding there are not enough hours in the day,' he said.
As well as his position on the board at his one-and-only club, Wasps, he has several business interests including being director of motivation at customer relations firm The Listening Company and he also has his media work with the BBC and the Sunday Times.
And just this month he has launched the Dallaglio Charitable Foundation, which will initially raise funds for Cancer Research UK in memory of his mother Eileen, who died last month.
