REIGNING netball champions Vets' defence of their Super League title has gathered momentum with two consecutive wins.
They are now top of the table, albeit only one point ahead of nearest challengers Thundercats having played one game more.
The first win of their recent two-in-a-row came against Roos, who did not deserve to lose by a 35-21 scoreline.
Roos started off well but had problems converting their shots at goal as the match went on.
That was not the case for the Vets whose shooters scored without trouble.
Vets' other victory came against Sharks, who have yet to win a game in the Super League.
It was great to see young Jo Pugh being given the call up to the senior Sharks side as goal shooter and, although a little nervous at first, under the coaching of ex-island shooter Dawn Browning she came into her own.
