LEAGUE champions Cenkos Yobbos this weekend suffered their second defeat of the season at the hands of Coreix Unwantables.

But Yobbos had already got their hands on the 2008-09 Investec Division One title the previous weekend when second-placed Unwantables drew with Investec Colombians Vets and Elizabeth College gave them a 3-0 walkover.

At Foote's Lane on Saturday, Unwantables walked away 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Andy Bell, Rob Newton and Kevin Smith.

Yobbos' solitary goal came from Wayne Moore on his 40th birthday.

Despite the match being effectively meaningless, Yobbos' media liaison officer and defender Steve Ward said the defeat still hurt.

'There's always pride in the shirt,' he said.

'We always want to win as many games as possible.'

Yobbos were last crowned league champions in 2000 and Ward said the club were delighted to get their hands back on the silverware.
