JIM ELLIOTT returns to the Guernsey starting XV against Wimbledon this afternoon at Foote's Lane.

The Siam Cup man of the match (pictured) takes a place on the wing with former skipper Andy Bailey set to move to the bench for a game that kicks off at 2.30.

Captain Simon Sharrott said Elliott's presence will give his side 'another dimension out wide'.

'We have everyone available for selection and that is really good as the places for positions are now becoming very competitive and hard for the selectors to choose,' said the skipper.

Sharrott added that this is a massive game in terms of momentum and the side needed to approach it in the same aggressive manner with which they have cast aside Winchester and Effingham & Leatherhead in their last two fixtures.

'However, we as a squad are under no illusions – Wimbledon will be a much sterner test which we look forward to and it has to start with being both aggressive in the defence and attack and, more importantly, making sure they do not get over our gameline to create a platform for them to play off.

'Once again as captain I ask for an improved performance from the tight-five as this is where the game will be won and lost and if we can build from our previous performances we should be very competitive.

'I am sure it will be an entertaining game of rugby and we look forward to hearing the support of the ever committed Guernsey crowd.'
