GARRY DODD was on top form throughout the Division One Championships and defeated Lions A teammate Phil Ogier in a spectacular five-game final.
The top-flight event came at the culmination of four days of divisional championships, with players able to enter for the division in which they play or one above if applicable.
This gives players from lower divisions the opportunity to earn some experience by playing stronger players and there were some good performances from players playing in the divisional championship above their level.
Coupled with their league performances, results in these tournaments are a good indicator of which players are ready to make the step up to a higher division.
Dodd (pictured) was ruthless throughout the tournament and did not drop a leg on his route to the final.
He dispatched fifth seed Paul Hainsworth in straight games in the quarter-finals and repeated the feat in the semi-finals when defeating Liam Robilliard.
