JEZ POWELL and young Adam Langlois (pictured) were wearing broad smiles last night after unexpectedly reaching the men's doubles final at the island championships.
The number four seeds beat second seeds Mark Pipet and Phil Hunkin 15-13 in the seventh and final set of a real thriller at the GTTC.
They now play favourites Garry Dodd and Phil Ogier in Saturday's final.
In the women's doubles there were no shocks as new pairing Alice Loveridge and Kate Stubbington won through to play Dawn Morgan and Helen Fooks.
