GUERNSEY set up a top-of-table clash with Bahrain today after defeating Japan by seven wickets yesterday.

If Guernsey are to reach Sunday's final and book themselves a place in Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division Six in Singapore later in the year, a win over Bahrain at the KGV would go a long way to help achieve that.

With the Bahrainis cruising past Gibraltar by 137 runs at Port Soif yesterday, both teams are joint top with two wins and four points each.

'It's going to be an interesting game,' said Guernsey manager Dave Hearse.

'We know a little about them from our intelligence. It's just going to be a big game in the middle of a tournament.

'It's not the final, but if you want to win tournaments you've got to beat the best teams.

'If we win, it will put us in a very commanding position. If we lose, it will put us still in a good position because so far we've managed to win two out of two.'
