Osborn foils Ogier's attack to win sprint for the line

MATT OSBORN won a dramatic sprint finish in the second Delancey criterium.
The conclusion to the race, though, was in contrast to the beginning with the usual frantic start to the criterium slightly subdued as a number of riders chose not to race.
However, the pace soon began to increase and some began to be distanced by the lead group.
With riders working to try and regain contact with that lead group, the attacks began.
Osborn (pictured), Leon Ogier, Rob Smart and Stuart Le Tissier were the main attackers and this caused a fracture in the group, which lead to the quartet escaping from the others.
As the race neared the end it was an Ogier attack that gapped the chasing riders and only Osborn reacted in time to round Ogier and narrowly take the sprint finish.
Ogier was second with Le Tissier and Smart taking third and fourth places.
