THE Hitmen's assault on the Sandeman Fours title continues.

The new, young team put together by Daniel de la Mare, which also includes brothers Shaun and Kris Bichard and Todd Priaulx, got the better of another up-and-coming side to reach the semi-finals.

The match against Bad Boys (Wes Baker, Matt Solway, Andy Lucas and Peter Whales) was tight over the opening ends, but the Hitmen finished the stronger over the second half and returned a 23-14 card at the end of the 21 ends.

In the semis they will play the experienced Moonrakers (Paul Sargeant, Steve Machon, Phil Schofield and Geoff Savident) after they in turn beat Barracudas (Nigel Collins, Mick Hullock, Don Ogier and Alan Gibson).

A 14-7 lead for the Moonrakers proved to be enough to clinch the win despite a late surge of good drawing by the Barracudas, only to see the favourable heads cut down to single shots by skip Sargeant to return a 18-16 scorecard.

The Police team of Don Batiste, Ricky Nash, John Samuels and Steve Cowdrey overwhelmed Stan Simon's Sarnians team including Roy Domaille, Mick Yabsley and Dennis Chick 33-8 and will play the Falcons (Matt Le Ber, Gary Pitschou, Len Le Ber and Garry Collins) or the Brats (Paul Merrien, Roy Queripel, Mac Timms and Sid Le Maitre).

THE Delancey Parkers pulled off a major shock as they overcame the hot favourites Wonder Women in the Friend Ladies Fours.

On their home Delancey Park green, the team comprising Angela Bartie, Mavis Tardif, Linda Wakeham and Lorraine Ellis defeated Alison Merrien, Lucy Beere, Sally Paul and Jan Lawrence.

From being 9-9 at 13 ends, Bartie's four scored seven shots to nil against on the following four ends putting them 16-9 ahead with one to play.
