Batiste joins his captain on sideline

GUERNSEY'S front row troubles have deepened on the eve of their first match in London Two South-West.
Layton Batiste has joined his captain and fellow prop Simon Sharrott on the sideline for the foreseeable future after picking up a potentially serious knee injury in training.
He has not yet had an MRI scan, so the full extent of the trouble is not known, but his leg will be in a cast for up to seven weeks.
However, that piece of bad news has been tempered slightly by the latest update on the skipper's injury.
'I have started my rehab after getting the MRI results,' Sharrott said.
'There was no ACL damage, just some meniscus and medial ligament damage so I should be back playing mid-November.'
Fortunately, in the ever-revolving door that is the GRUFC each summer, one of the new arrivals at the club will bolster the front row.
